"Accio Moke!" said Gideon, sending the Moke to himself. He caught it and sent it back toward Ella.

Ella caught the moke and handed it back to Aurora apologetically.

Gideon said, "Yeah? I think I'll die first!" Gideon swam underwater to the middle of the lake, staying down with a Bubble-Head Charm so that the others couldn't see him.

"Now all we have to do is wait," Ella said the others, laughing and relaxing by a nearby aspen tree.

Re: The Lake - Sunny and Bright.
Suddenly, Gideon felt a ferocious sharp tug on his leg, first he was forced upward, then he was pulled back into the water. He looked down and saw a grindylow. He murmured, "Stupefy." It froze and he went back up, waving to the others.

Aurora let the Moke scuttle over her shoulders as she sat in the sun to dry off. She used a banishing charm to send the Moke back to his tank in the her Ravenclaw dormitory. She used a spark charm to create little blue and bronze sparks from the tip of her wand.

"Wow, clever..." Matt remarked, look impressed.
He moved down closer to the lake, and let his feet fall over the edge and into the cold lake.

"Do you reckon Gideon is OK? He hasn't come up for a while," Aurora wondered, "He did have a Bubble-head charm on..."
Re: The Lake - Sunny and Bright.
"He'll be fine..." Matt answered; "He just likes attention...besides he won't drown..."
Re: The Lake - Sunny and Bright.
"Aw, I was hoping he would," Ella said jokingly, as she waited for him to resurface.

Re: The Lake - Sunny and Bright.
"Cool." Matt replied, slipping in the lake from the side of the bank.
Re: The Lake - Sunny and Bright.
Gideon heard splashes and had heard what Matt had said. He shook his head jokingly and then dived deeper down.

Once the others had made it into the water, Ella cannonballed into the lake, which seemed to disturb the Giant Squid from its peaceful nap.

Re: The Lake - Sunny and Bright.
Gideon heard a growling not so far away. He quickly changed course to the sides, still as deep though.

Matt surfaced, and heard a small rumbled.
"What the hell was that?"
Re: The Lake - Sunny and Bright.
Aurora surfaced and blinked her wet eyes. She saw a pinky-orange tentacle rise up from the water, slowly. Her mouth hung open in horror.
Re: The Lake - Sunny and Bright.
Matt froze, without even looking behind him, he saw the reflection of the tentacle in the water.
"Don't move..."
"Don't move..."
Re: The Lake - Sunny and Bright.
"Here, watch this," Ella said. She quietly swam to shore to retreive her wand. "Rictumsempra!" she said, pointing her wand at the tentacle. The Tickling Charm worked immediately. The giant squid rumbled, as if it were chuckling.

Re: The Lake - Sunny and Bright.
The Giant Squid slid under, one of his tentacles slapping Gideon's face hard. He fell, unconscious.
