Defense Against the Dark Arts Class

McGonagall was stuttering. "Professor M-Moody, what did y-you do to this b-boy?" Gideon was already awake and healing himself and cleaning himself.

Matt watched Dumbledore talk to Moody quietly.

"Heh..."

"What the HELL happened!" Aurora hissed to Ella. She'd just seen Gideon get knocked back, for no apparent reason.

Matt slumped down into his chair and let out a small sigh.

Dumbledore finally sighed and went over to Gideon, telling him not to do anything naughty again. Gideon nodded reluctantly, still under the Obliviate Charm. Gideon sat in his chair, the Obliviate Charm wearing off, and he was reading his DADA book.

"Moody," Ella muttered to Aurora quickly. "Some sort of non-verbal spell; I'm not sure what it was."

Moody said, "That's better, today, we'll be learning the Stupefy spell, rather called Stunning Spell. The incantation is Stupefy." Gideon repeated the word then tried it on a dummy. The dummy flew back.

"Stupefy!" Aurora aimed at Matt instead of the dummy.

Ella dodged Matt as he flew backwards. Moody pointed his wand at a table, Transfiguring it to a large mattress, so Matt landed on it unharmed.

"The dummies, not humans," Moody growled.

Matt shakily stood up, looking rather shocked.

"Ok, I knew that was coming."

Gideon dodged as Matt flew over his head, onto the matress. He examined Matt to see if he was hurt.

"Sorry, mate, didn't know how powerful it was!"

"Erm, no problem.." he replied, moving his neck from side to side with a crack.

"Nice one."

"You can say that again!" Aurora aimed a stupefy at a free dummy and it rocked from side to side.

"I need to work on some spells..." he said to her, standing next to her, and pulling out his wand, he pointed it at the dummy and muttered "Diffindo".

The dummies head rolled off.

"Stupefy!" Ella said, pointing to a dummy near the classroom window. But her aim was a little bit off and missed the dummy by centimeters. It flew toward a the windows instead, which shattered.

Aurora giggled and aimed a "Reparo," spell at the window. "Lacarnum Inflamarae," a small ball of fire hit the dummy and evaporated.

Gideon aimed his wand at the dummy and yelled, "Expelliarmus!" The spell missed totally, hit the wall, bounced off, and instead hit himself again.

Aurora caught Gideon's wand and threw it back to him.
"Reducto!" She dummy diffused into dust.

Moody, came out of his office and barked, "What are you guys doing?" Gideon shrugged and then sent a Stunning Spell at a portrait above his head, on accident.

Reparo Aurora thought hard enough, the only spell she could do non-verbally, and the dummy repaired itself before Moody noticed.

Matt decided he would try something new.

His mind shut off, and he chanted -in his mind- "Avada Kedavra!" numorous amounts of times, until finally a jet of red shot from his wand, and hit the dummy.

Moody swung around, his eye shooting around all the students.

"Who did that?" he growled.

"Jesus!" Aurora didn't say Matt's name, so she didn't get him in trouble.

Matt gave a small gulp, and prayed to God that Moody had not heard/seen him.

"Foreman?" came the dreaded voice of Moody.

"Yes, professor?" Matt said, turning to face Moody.

"Was it you?"

"Yes, Professor..." he said, giving a sorrowful expression.

"That was superb, 30 points too Ravenclaw" Moody said, his expression changing to a grin. "I have never seen a student cast the Killing Curse non-verbally...maybe because they are banned to do so completley...but I don't care about the rules."

"Come up to my office later on today...I want to see what else you can do..."

Matt gaped at Moody and couldn't reply.

Ella's jaw dropped open. "Talk about lucky!" she said. "I thought you were expelled for sure!"
